Legacy Guyana discipleship raises indigenous people in the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is a holistic disciple-making approach that acknowledges the heart, soul, mind, and strength. It is delivered in local communities all over the world through the local church.
THE DEFINITION OF A
DISCIPLE:
The word “disciple” simply means to be a student or a follower. A true disciple of Christ is one who has committed themselves to learning from and following Jesus Christ. To be a true follower of Christ, there must be a commitment to learn what He has said. There is also, however, a commitment to do what he has said.

DISCIPLE MAKER:
The disciple maker enters into a one-on-one relationship with a new believer (Disciple), in order to guide the new member through the Word of God and to provide a mature Christian friend for the purpose of encouragement, mentoring, and development.
THE DESCRIPTION OF A
DISCIPLE MAKER:
The disciple maker must possess: a genuine love for and interest in the life of his or her disciple, a desire to reach and train people for Christ with their focus on making disciples that make disciples.

We aim to develop national disciple-makers and leaders to plant churches that deploy indigenous workers into God’s global harvest field.
