Stephen and Gina Gant

Steve and Gina lived and served in Uganda, Africa for two years discipling prisoners and their children with Wells of Hope Ministries. Upon their return from Africa, God began to deal with Steve and Gina about serving in Guyana while he was a student at Trinity Baptist College, which led to a short-term mission trip.  Steve and Gina’s short-term trip in 2019 was used by God as part of the process to lead them to a full surrender to ministry in Guyana and move there full-time March 2022.

Our ministry focus is relational disciple-making through pastoral visitation, community care, and spiritual development. During the first few months we realized that evangelism was reaching the lost, but there was no multiplication of workers through discipleship.

With this new insight, Steve and Gina developed and founded Legacy Guyana, Inc in the town of Lethem, located in Region 9. Our primary ministry focus is to reach the 20% indigenous Amerindian culture located in the 80% land mass of the countries interior.

Legacy Guyana will develop national disciple-makers and leaders through one-on-one relational discipleship, small group mentorship, and leadership development training. The result will be to see healthy churches begin to multiply and new churches planted that deploy indigenous workers into God’s global harvest field.

Stephen serves as the Director of Discipleship, Church Planting, and Leadership Development. Gina is the Associate Director of Ministry focusing on Women’s ministry, Admin, and Accounting.
